Jack William Kratsas, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Margaret Kambos Kratsas, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 1, 2016. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, at 12:00 noon. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends Monday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m, with the Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m..
Jack was born May 17, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late William Kratsas and Mary Lakios Kratsas. He was a retired business owner and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret Kratsas of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Helen Savage (Bryan) of Rocky Point, NY and Mary Riley (Mark Vallier) of Charleston, SC; sister, Despina Malahias of Riverhead, NY; and grandchildren: Nicholas Riley, Jacqueline Albir, Gregory Savage, and Stephanie Savage.
