Jack Otis Garrett, Sr., 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Brenda Allen Garrett, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.

His Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 1:00 p.m.

Jack was born December 27, 1936, in Opelika, Alabama, son of the late Jimmy O. Garrett and Edna Jones Garrett. Family was the most important thing to Jack. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by those he loved. He was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church, Johns Island and sang in the choir. He was also a member and Past Master of Fideliy 304 A.F.M.

In addition to his devoted wife of 60 years, Brenda, Jack is survived by his son, Jack Otis Garrett, Jr. (Debra); daughter, Kimberly (Matt); grandchildren, Christi (Blaine), Ben, Jon, Sarah (Antony), Zoe, and Jackson. Jack also is survived by two sisters, Anne Cantley and Eileen Sadowski. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Garrett, and sisters, Joan Lindenmuth and Nancy Loy.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice of the Lowcountry.
