James Heyward Harvey, Jr., 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth "Betsy" Bremer Harvey, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 20, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 in St. Philip's Church, 142 Church Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, churchyard. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.

Heyward was born January 10, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of James Heyward Harvey, Sr. and Rosa Seymour Harvey. Heyward was a graduate of the University of the South and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was a member of the Carolina Yacht Club, the South Carolina Society, and the Palmetto Guard. Heyward was also a member of St. Philip's Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Heyward Harvey Fellows (Jamie) of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Eliza F. Fellows and James H. L. Fellows; and his niece, Catherine S. Guerry (Jody) of Mount Pleasant, SC.
