J. Hart Roberts Jr., 81, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Patricia P. Roberts entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 28, 2024. His Memorial Mass will be held Friday, January 10th at 1:00pm at Christ Our King Catholic Church - Grace Hall with interment to follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Hart was born April 26, 1943 in Florence, South Carolina, son of Julian H. Roberts, Sr. and Erma Lewis Roberts. He was a United States Marine and a Certified Public Accountant with a career in finance spanning over 50 years. Additionally, Hart was an active member at Christ Our King Catholic Church, along with being a former member of the Charleston Rotary, the Estate Planning Council, and the Community Foundation. Hart was extremely proud to have also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Alina Lodge, an organization dedicated to serving those battling alcohol and substance abuse.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia P. Roberts; two sons, Julian H. Roberts III, Jason C. Miller; two daughters, Karen Farrell (Sean), Michele Fancher (Brian); five grandchildren, Ashling Farrell, Lorelai Farrell, Mikaela Farrell, Lucas Fancher, Benjamin Fancher; and, two sisters, Patricia Richardson and, Ann Klimchak.
