Irene Foore Poore

Irene Foore Poore, 82, of North Charleston, SC, wife of David Ronnie Poore entered into eternal rest Friday, May 17, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. 7113, Rivers Ave., N. Charleston. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Irene was born December 9, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Harold Meyers and Elsie Shirah Meyers. She was a graduate of North Charleston High School and a 5th generation Charlestonian. She was a substitute teacher for Charleston County Schools. She worked as a sales representative for Home Interiors and Cameron and Barkley Lighting Showroom. She enjoyed traveling in her RV, reading, and crossword puzzles.  She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed dancing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and was always so proud of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: John Barry Foore (Odette) of Hanahan, SC and Sharon Foore Poletti (Dave) of Southport, NC; four grandchildren: Taylor Barteau (Brendan), Justin Foore (Mary), Brandon Poletti, and Austin Poletti; great-grandson Bennett Keith Barteau; step-sons: Ron Poore of Lugoff, SC, Keith Poore of Seattle, WA; step-grandson, Chase Poore (Samantha), siblings: Harold "Chip" Meyers of Kimberling City, MO and Delaine VanDerkamp of North Charleston, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Elsie Meyers and first Husband, Joseph Barry Foore.
