Irene Garfinkel, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Philip Garfinkel entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Her funeral services will be held at the graveside Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery "Maryville", Sycamore Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Irene was born December 21, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Joseph Isaac Sicro and Perle Lefkoff Sicro. She retired as Co-owner with the RSVP Shoppe. She is a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, Hadassah and Council of Jewish Women.

She is survived by two daughters: Wendy Garfinkel-Gold (Dr. Scott Gold) of Athens. GA, Elyse Susan Garfinkel (Jen Hendrick) of Charleston, SC and her granddaughter, Leila A. Gold of Encinitas, CA.
