Iona Marie Shamblin

Iona Marie Shamblin, 82, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of the late Raymond Marto Shamblin, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., NORTHWOOD CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Iona was born December 27, 1935 in Cedar Grove, West Virginia, daughter of the late Robert E. Lee Snead and Iona Martin Snead. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia Marie Shamblin-Buchheit (Scott) of Summerville, SC, Angelia Renea Shamblin of Goose Creek, SC; son, Marlon Ray Shamblin (Linda) of Waterloo, SC; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, two sisters: Dorothy Butterworth and Anna Belle Dixon and one brother, Irvin Lee Snead.
