Ingrid Michelle Cooley

Ingrid Michelle Cooley, 49, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 12, 2024.  The family will hold private services.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Michelle was born August 5, 1974 in Birmingham, Alabama, daughter of Brenda Carol Howell Cooley and the late William Mack Cooley.  She attended Wando High School and was an Exchange Student in Spain and became fluent in Spanish.  While living with her family in the Washington, D.C. area, she studied professional ballet at the Washington School of Ballet and was a child dancer in performances at the Warner Theater in Nutcracker with the Washington Ballet and at the Kennedy Center Opera House with the New York City Ballet in Midsummer's Night Dream and with Ballet West in Sleeping Beauty.  Her career as a model, film and television actress brought her to New York and California.  She will be remembered also for her love of world travel.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda Cooley and sister, Elizabeth Cooley both of Mt. Pleasant; son, Andres Posada; granddaughter, Sophia; spouse, Gustavo Posada; grandmother, Carolyn Allen and aunt, Charlene Stephenson both of Alabaster, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Mack Cooley.
