Inez Mitchum

Inez Mitchum, 96, a longtime resident of The Village at Summerville, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 30, 2017. Her memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the chapel at The Village at Summerville, 201 West 9th North Street, Summerville, SC, 29483 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Lovingly known as Sister to her family, she was born December 25, 1920 in Greeleyville, South Carolina, the daughter of Oliver Durant Mitchum and Ethel Mitchum. She was a retired administrative assistant with the Naval Supply Center. Inez was a longtime member of the former Park Circle Presbyterian Church where she served in many leadership roles and was a current member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Myrick; six nieces and nephews and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Inez is predeceased by three brothers; Riley Durant Mitchum, Edward Mitchum and Clyde Mitchum; one sister, Nora Lee Brisben and nephew, Oliver Stephen Brisben.
