Inez was also a beauty queen in a parade on the Edwards Department Store float.

Inez and Bud traveled the country during his Air Force tours of duty and had two beautiful children during this time. Once settled in Charleston, she worked at Kerrison's Department store for 15 years until it closed; while there, she was the president of the Women's Auxiliary Club of Kerrison's. After Kerrison's Inez worked at her retirement fun job at Round Robin until she retired for good.

She and Bud were members of the Elk's club where they spent many Saturday nights dancing with family and friends.

To Inez, family was the most important thing in her life evidenced by the care she gave her parents and family members in their waning years. She spent all of her time with her family in Charleston and her extended family and friends in California, Florida and New Jersey.
