Ilona Marga Fresche Watson

Ilona Marga Fesche Watson, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 29, 2024. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 1605 Harbor View Road, James Island, SC at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Ilona was born December 22, 1944 in Wunstorf, Germany, daughter of the late Fritz and Lisa Fesche. She was a gardening enthusiast, decorator, and hostess with the mostest. Ilona enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and was lovingly called Omi. She was a wonderful cook and truly a legend.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia (Chris) Clanton of Charleston, SC; granddaughters, Caylee Clanton, Caroline Clanton of Charleston, SC, and Ashley Workman (Trevor Wilson) of Johns Island, SC; great grand-child, Ileana Romona Wilson; niece, Sylke Fesche of Wunstorf, Germany; son-in-law, Ned Workman of Johns Island, SC and family friend Linda Lockamy and her son Patrick of Johns Island. She was preceded in death by her husband Pat Watson; father, Fritz Fesche, mother Lisa Fesche; daughter, Romona Workman, and grandson, Brandon Workman.
