Ida Louise Smith, 81, of Moncks Corner, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Her funeral service will be held on August 22, 2021 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 pm. The interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Northwoods Chapel. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
Ida was born in Charleston, SC, July 18, 1940 to Ernest and Louise Maddray. She married Fleetwood Guin in 1958 and they had three children together, Woody, Brenda and David. Ida was remarried in 1982 to Eric Smith. Eric was her devoted love and companion for the rest of her life. She was "Gammy" to her four grandchildren, Amy, Jud, Erin and Nate Guin. Also, the happy great-grandmother of Taylor and Judson Guin. Ida adored her little dog "Cowboy" and he adored her right back.
Ida took great joy in making women feel beautiful as she worked with Clinique for 35 years. This was where she found her true purpose and fulfillment.
Ida was predeceased by her mother, Louise Francis, Stepfather, Craig Francis, father, Ernest Maddray, Sr. and brother Ernest Maddray, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Eric Smith; children: Woody (Cyndi) Guin, Brenda (Paul) Strange, and David (Lynn) Guin; grandchildren: Amy (Colleen) Guin, Jud (Krysten) Guinn, Erin (Noel) Guin and Nate Guin; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Judson Guin; brother, Craig (Sherry) Francis, her aunt and second mother, Agnes Jones and many other loved family and friends.
