Ida Vittitoe Griffith

Ida Vittitoe Griffith, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of George L. Griffith, Sr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 10, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in the Church Of The Nativity, 1061 Folly Road at 10am. Prayers of Commendation and Final Farewell will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary at 6pm.

Mrs. Griffith was born October 26, 1922 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Rollie M. Vittitoe and Ruth Phillips Vittitoe. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School and a Pharmacist Assistant at Wappoo Prescription Lab on Folly Road.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria G. "Missy" Keith of Charleston, SC; four sons, George L. "Skipper" Griffith, Jr. of Johns Island, SC, Gary L. Griffith of Johns Island, SC, Guy L. Griffith of James Island, SC and Gregg L. Griffith of Johns Island, SC; 5 grandchildren, Maria, Ashley, Cody, Gavin and Holly; 5 great grandchildren, Ronnie, Caitlin, Calissa-Rose, Addison and Elise; one sister, Jean G. Johnson of James Island, SC. She was predeceased by her husband, a son, Ashley Timothy Griffith, a grandson, C. Michael Griffith, a brother, Rollie Vittitoe, Jr. and two sisters, Margaret Hogg and Mary Davis.
