Ian Conrad Bonnet

December 31, 1969 — September 25, 2021

Ian Conrad Bonnet, 51, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Catherine Tillman Bonnet, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. His celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street at 1:00 pm. Ian was born December 31, 1969 in Manassas, Virginia, son of Roberta Sinnema Bonnet and the late James Conrad Bonnet. He graduated from the College of Charleston and received his master's degree from Arizona State University. He was a Partner at PWC in Global Healthcare Technology and had the opportunity to travel the world throughout his career. His love for traveling included enjoying fine wine and food in different cities and countries. When not working, you could find Ian spending time with his family and friends as well as boating, fishing & hunting. He had a love for great music, throwing parties (Annual Christmas Party and New Year's Oyster Roast). He was a dedicated Christian and active in the Episcopal Church his entire life. While in Atlanta, Ian led the 10-year strategic planning committee at St. Columba's and upon returning to Charleston, Ian helped spearhead the youth ministry retreat "Happening" for the Lower Diocese of South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Catherine Tillman Bonnet of Mount Pleasant, SC; three daughters, Kaitlin McKenzie Bonnet, Olivia McRae Bonnet, and Sarah Claire Bonnet all of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Rutledge Flash Mason Bonnet, his beloved English chocolate lab; mother, Roberta Sinnema Bonnet of Greenville, NC; his siblings Brian Bonnet (Sonia) of Orkney Springs, VA; sister, Mila Mason (Scott) of Knightdale, NC and brother Michael Bonnet of Greenville, NC; and as well as nine nieces and nephews. Additionally, he loved his tie to the famed gentleman pirate, Stede Bonnet.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina with Ian Bonnet Memorial/Happening Youth Fund in the For Line.
