Hui Li, loving husband, and father passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the age of 56. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Citadel Square Baptist Church, 328 Meeting Street at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azelea Drive, North Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Hui was born on December 28, 1964 in Hunan, China. He was a hard-working entrepreneur who owned businesses in China. On January 1, 1989, he married Zhongfeng Wang and started his own little family with two daughters Qian and Sijia. He and his family moved to the US to seek treatment for their younger daughter, Sijia, who sadly passed after only four short years of life. Hui, his wife Feng, and daughter Qian built a life here in Charleston, and the family became American citizens in 2011. Hui worked many years at Osaka and many of his long-term customers affectionately called him "Lee" since they had difficulties pronouncing his name.
He is survived by his wife Feng; daughter Qian; his sister, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. Hui's American family are Samuel and Sunny Steinberg, and the Chinese congregation of the Citadel Square Baptist Church.
Hui was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, younger brother, and his beloved daughter Sijia.
