Hugh Everett Mims

Hugh Everett Mims, Jr., 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Carole Burbage Mims entered into eternal rest Monday, September 14, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy. at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday in the Church Sanctuary from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Hugh was born April 4, 1938 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Hugh Everett Mims, Sr., and Anna Hood Mims. He was a Life Insurance Underwriter with Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Charleston and also an active member of Ashley River Baptist Church for 53 years, he also taught Sunday School.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Burbage Mims of Charleston, SC; daughter, Michele Mims Clark of Duluth, GA, and granddaughter, Ashleigh Victoria Clark. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Burbage Mims.A special thanks to Linda W. Burbage, and Suzanne H. Burbage for their sincere and loving care for the family.
