Hugh Craigie

Hugh Robert Craigie, 71, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Debra Nielson Craigie entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 21, 2022. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at a location to be announced. (Please refer to this obituary page for updates)

Hugh grew up in Franklinville, NY, then the family moved to Rochester, NY in 1959.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 until 1975 when he met his wife Debbie, while stationed in Charleston, SC.  They moved back to Rochester where Hugh worked as a process control mechanic for Eastman Kodak.  He retired in 2005 when they moved back to Charleston.  He then worked for Cooper River Partners until 2013.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; two sons, John A. Craigie and Andrew J. (Kathleen) Craigie; three grandchildren, Connor William, Lilly Grace and Teagan Hope; sisters and brothers, Mary Ann Simms, James R. (Sally) Craigie, John W. (Pamela) Craigie, Susan (Bob) Kirby, Jan (Frank) Bonn and David W. (Jody) Craigie; sisters-in-law, Lula B. White and Janan (Steven) Earnhardt, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Hugh found his joy in spending time with his grandchildren and family.
