Hudson Ayles Waller, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Nancy McCoy Waller entered into eternal rest Monday, May 27, 2019. His Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m.
Hudson was born January 7, 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee, son of the late Reginald Leon Waller and Grace Ayles Waller. He was a graduate of The University of Mississippi and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Hudson retired as a Federal Treasury Agent and retired from the SC DHEC as an Environmental Investigator. He received the Strom Thurmond Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award in 1992. Hudson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, SC and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church of Charleston, SC.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy McCoy Waller of Charleston, SC; daughter, Leslie Jonsson (Bill) of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Camille Love of Raleigh, NC, Sherry Jared of North Little Rock, AR; two grandchildren, Erik Rhys Jonsson, and Kyle Liam Jonsson.
