Hoyt Mason Richardson Jr., 79, of Yonges Island, SC, husband to Mary Butler Sires Richardson, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 6275 Donaldson St, Meggett, SC 29449. Interment will follow in the Christ-St. Paul's Parish Churchyard. The family will receive friends Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414.

Born on Sunday, July 13, 1941, Hoyt was a son of the late Hoyt Mason Richardson Sr. and Millicent McCullen Richardson. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Besides his wife of 35 years, he is survived by his son, Eric Clayton (Pam) Richardson; his step-sons, Aaron (Connie) Sires Jr., Nolan (Ramona) Sires, Allen Sires; his sister, Betty Richardson Anglin; his six grandchildren, Erica (Zack) Smith, Bliss (John) Cole, Reed (Brett) Sires, Emily (Chris) Sires, Savannah (Jason) Jewell and Grayson Sires; his nine great-grandchildren, Addison Smith, Harper Smith, Olivia Cole, Vivienne Cole, Ava Josephine Cole, Miller Sires, Annaleigh Jewell, Roland Jewell and Lawson Jewell.
