Hiram C. "Dinky" Adams

Hiram "Dinky" Cody Adams, Jr., 75, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Sarah "Candy" Mathis Adams died Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 in the Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Mr. Adams was born June 28, 1937 in Charleston, SC, son of the late H. C. Adams, Sr. and the late Gladys O'Quinn Adams. He was a 1955 graduate of North Charleston High School and retired from Westvaco as a supervisor in the polychemicals division. Dinky also served in the National Guard. He was a member of Charleston Baptist Church.

A wonderful husband and father, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Candy Adams of Goose Creek, SC, daughters: Brenda Gaetke (Mark T.) of North Charleston, SC, Terri Adams of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Angela Williams (Brett) of Bluffton, SC; sisters, Barbara Hilton of Summerville, SC and Betty Thornal of Pooler, GA; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
