Hilda Beth Goertz Boltjes

Hilda Beth Goertz Boltjes, 90, wife of the late Dr. Ben Harold Boltjes, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on January 11, 2011. The relatives and friends of Hilda Boltjes are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2011 at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Boltjes was born August 7, 1920 in Beatrice, Nebraska, daughter of the late John David Goertz and Margaret Claassen Goertz. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Beth was a long standing member of East Cooper Baptist Church, a member of The Charleston Senior Citizens where she served on their board, was a volunteer at East Cooper Hospital and a member of the First Baptist Church Sunshine Club. She was also a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Boltjes is survived by her daughter, Linda Boltjes Michelson of Painesville, OH; two sons, John Robert Boltjes of Juneau, Alaska and Michael Ben Boltjes of Ocala, FL; one sister, Emily Louise McRae of Berkeley, CA; one brother, Col. Robert David Goertz, USAF (Ret) of Spokane, WA; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
