Hezekiah Davis

Hezekiah Davis Jr., 84, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Estelle B. Davis, died Saturday, May 7, 2011, peacefully at home.

Born April 9, 1927 in Sumter, SC he was the son of Hezekiah Davis and Loupurty Nelson Davis.  He was formerly employed with Ferguson Construction as a painter and the Charleston County School District.  He was a US Army Veteran.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 31 years, Estelle B. Davis of North Charleston, SC; his children:  Stella and Tangie both of Charleston, Joann of OK, Jerome of IL, Stacie of OH and Tonya of Bluffton, SC; host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Pearl of Sumter, SC and Lois of Los Angeles, CA; five brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.   He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Norman Davis.

The memorial service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 12:00 noon.
