Herman August Stramm, Jr., 89, of Charleston, SC, husband of Toni Murrell Stramm, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 3, 2016. His memorial service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016, in the Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church, 754 Rutledge Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Herman was born June 8, 1927 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Herman August Stramm and Mildred Wise Stramm. He was a retail sales representative for an industrial diamonds company, attended The Citadel and was a WW II Navy veteran. Herman was a former Commander and life member of V.F.W. Post #445, a member of the American Legion and Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Toni; two daughters, Carol Stramm Keen of Waynesboro, GA, and Dale Rochester Coleman (Leonard) of Gainesville, GA; a son, Kenneth Murrell Stramm (Margaret) of Summerville, SC; five grandsons: Darrell Rochester, Brian Rochester, Tripp Keen, Joey Stramm, and Andy Stramm; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jammie Keen, and brother, Ronald A. Stramm.
