Herbert William Iwer

On the morning of November 7, 2010, Herb Iwer IV ended his battle with brain cancer.

He was born May 2, 1983 and was raised in Glendale, AZ.  He spent 10 years in Dallas, TX and graduated in 2001 from The Colony High School.  He spent the last 2 years in Charleston, SC.

Herb worked as a project manager at Progressive Healthcare for the last four years.  He was a wonderful young man who brought joy to all who met him and will live on in a special place in their hearts.

He is survived by his mother, Debora Elam Iwer of Dallas, TX; father and step mother, Herbert W. Iwer III, and Andrea of Johns Island, SC; sister and nephew, Krista Iwer and Jason Ordeneaux of Charleston, SC; maternal grandparents; Christopher and Joan Elam of Coronado, CA;  step sister and family, Jessica, Martin and Jackson Kutz of Summerville, SC; step brother and family; Joshua, Jennifer and Johnathan of Belvedere, SC and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private memorial service was held on Monday on Johns Island and another service will be held in Dallas on Friday, November 12.  Please contact a family member for more information.

A memorial fund is being established in his name for research of Brain Tumors and NF1. Please contact the family for more information about where to send donations.
