Herbert Noah Hardwick, 94, of North Charleston, SC, died Friday, July 18, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 21, 2014, in the North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 E. Montague Avenue, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10:00 am until time of the service. The Committal Service will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 2:00 pm in the Poplar United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5095 Highway 701 N, Conway, SC. Arrangements by J. Herbert was born June 14, 1920 in Poplar, SC, son of the late Noah S. Hardwick and Clarkie B. Hardwick. A veteran of the United States Navy in WWII, he retired as supply officer at the Navy Supply Center, Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a longtime active member of North Charleston United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Trisha Leonard and her husband, Larry, of Mount Pleasant, SC and Helen Crowe and her husband, Ken, of Panama City, FL; one son, Ken Hardwick and his wife, Shea, of Hanahan, SC; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Olin Hardwick and Chris Hardwick.
