Herbert Phillips Harden

CPO Herbert Phillips Harden, USN, Ret., 84, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.
Herbert was born October 31, 1934 in Avera, GA, son of the late Herbert R. Harden and the late Oveda Phillips Harden.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Marie Arpin Harden; daughter, Terrie Jones (Greg Casagrande); son, Karl Harden (Carolee) all of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren: Danny, Sarah and Rachael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to USS VI Charleston Base Scholarship Fund, 397 Princton Court, Ladson, SC 29456.
