Herbert Rosewill Colcord

Herbert Rosewill Colcord, 61, of Summerville, SC passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011. The relatives and friends of Herbert Colcord are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Sunday, May 29, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Mr. Colcord was born on June 26, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Mildred Davis Legare and the late Mortimer Nicholas Colcord.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Legare of Old Town, FL; his children, Herbert R. Colcord, Jr. of GA and Leslie Colcord, Shawn Marty Lee Colcord of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Robert James Colcord, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Mildred Marie Jackson, Jacqueline Danielle Colcord and Kimberly Ann Colcord, all of Summerville, SC; seventeen grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Marie Bratcher and Jacqueline Denise Legare, both of Old Town, FL.  He was preceded in death by a brother, John Joseph Legare and sister, Deborah Faye Colcord-Stone.
