Herbert Louis Cobb

Herbert Louis Cobb, 84, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Eva "Patty" M. Felton Cobb entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 29, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Monday October 3, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Herbert was born April 11, 1932 in Clarke County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Pierce W. Cobb and Ouida Hardman Cobb. He was a retired Claims Adjuster with State Farm Insurance. Herbert was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, fishing, and carving. He Attended Holy Trinity Church, Folly Rd.

He is survived by his wife, Eva "Patty" M. Felton Cobb of Charleston, SC; two sons, Herbert L. Cobb, Jr., (Sherri) of Jacksonville, FL, James A. Cobb of Charleston, SC; step-son, Cambion M. Benedict (Karen) of Charleston, SC; step-daughter, Catherine M. Huber of St. Simons Island, GA; six grandchildren, Louis Cobb, Peyton McClellan, Brittany Newby, Kelly Benedict, Erica Huber, and Stacy Huber; four great-grandchildren, Abby Cobb, James McKinney, Annabelle Huber, Hannah Huber; niece, Betty Swanson, and nephew, Arthur Swanson. Herbert is predeceased by his sister, Mary Swanson.
