Hepburn M. Stroman

Hepburn Morrison Stroman,Jr., beloved husband of Sally Taylor Stroman, DVM, passed away on Monday morning, January 3, 2011. He had been in the hospital for six weeks. The relatives and friends of Hepburn Stroman, Jr. are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Hibben United Methodist Church on Coleman Boulevard at 10:00 a.m.  Inurnment will be held in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church Cemetery, McClellanville, SC at 12:30 p.m.  The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Mr. Stroman was born on May 11, 1964 in Georgetown, South Carolina, son of Ida Martin "Dinkey" Stroman and the late Hepburn Morrison Stroman. He spent his early years in McClellanville and later the family moved to Mt. Pleasant where he graduated from Wando High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The College of Charleston and later a Masters of Computer Science from Clemson University.  Most recently he had been employed at SAIC as a computer programmer. He enjoyed assisting his wife Sally with their non-profit organization, Lowcountry Kitten Rescue. In addition to his wife Sally of Mt. Pleasant, SC, he is survived by his mother Ida Martin ("Dinkey") Stroman, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters, Susan Stroman Moore and her husband, Chuck, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Margaret Stroman Archer and her husband, David, of Savannah, Georgia along with five nieces and three nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law Jon Guerry Taylor, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC and sister-in-law Joy Taylor Orlando and her husband, Mario, of Marietta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Hepburn Morrison Stroman, Sr., his mother-in-law Faye Taylor, and his brother-in-law Jon Guerry Taylor, Jr.
