Henry Kevin Williamson

Henry Kevin Williamson Jr., 28, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Lauren Grice Williamson entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 23, 2018. His funeral service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd.

Kevin was born March 27, 1990 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Henry Kevin Williamson Sr. and Mary Louise Neal Williamson. He was a graduate of Wando High School where he was a starting football player all four years. In 2009 he received the Todd Carter Memorial Scholarship. Kevin played football at Guilford College and also attended Lander University. He was an equipment operations manager at South Carolina Ports Authority. Kevin was an active member of East Cooper Baptist Church where he enjoyed participating with his Man to Man group. He enjoyed being outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Kevin was an avid Carolina Panthers fan and a converted Gamecock fan.

He is survived by his wife, Lauren Grice Williamson of Charleston, SC; his parents: Kevin and Mary Louise Williamson; brother Patrick Williamson all of Mt. Pleasant; grandparents: Elizabeth Neal of Charlotte, NC and Henry and Sylvia Williamson of Orangeburg, SC; aunts and uncles: William Wells Neal Jr. (Jean) of Charlotte, NC, Lisa Neal Leak (Councill) of Vienna, VA and Kathy Neal Hartwell (Steve) of Denver, NC; and eight cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Wells Neal and Miriam Savage Williamson and his uncle Marty Daron Williamson.
