Henry "Hank" Wataru Tanaka, 69, of Johns Island, SC, husband of Peggy Colleen Thompson, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 15, 2011. All services will be private. Memorials may be made in memory of Hank Tanaka to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
Hank was born on September 8, 1942 in Arcadia, California. He was a veteran in the United States Army and was a retired Computer Programmer.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Thompson of Johns Island; two sons, Jay Tanaka and his wife Allison of Sunnyvale, California; Christopher Tanaka and his wife Robin of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren, Mei Louise Tanaka and Cole Christopher Tanaka.
