Henry Jacob Lindauer, 82, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Marjorie Ann Eliasen Lindauer entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 21, 2016.
Henry was born September 23, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, son of Henry Lindauer and Elisabeth Scheffbuch Lindauer. He graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute earning a degree in Chemical Engineering. Henry served two years as an Officer in the Armed Forces before joining the Colgate Palmolive Company in 1954 where he worked for 32 years, retiring as Director of International Manufacturing in 1986. In 1986 he and his wife Marjorie retired to Seabrook Island, South Carolina where they spent many happy years participating actively in the community. Henry had many hobbies including camping, sailing, biking and photography. He was a world traveler and loved cruising with his wife to exotic places.
Henry is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ann Lindauer of Johns Island, South Carolina, daughter, Kathy Miller (Daniel) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, son, Donald Lindauer (Laura) of Melbourne, Florida, two grandchildren, Allison Miller and Andrew Miller, brother, George (Joy) of Santa Claus, Indiana and a niece and two nephews. His son, Kenneth Lindauer, preceded him in death in 2012.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan where we will celebrate his life.
