Henry Thomas Huckabee

Henry Thomas Huckabee, 94, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, June 5, 2016. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Portside Baptist Church, 1179 Remount Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Henry was born February 11, 1922 in Branchville, SC, son of the late Henry Benjamin Huckabee and the late Annie Genevier Byrd Huckabee. He was married for 55 years to Cornelia Emily Huckabee who died in 1997. He retired as the H.R. Director with Macalloy Corporaton and was part of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Henry was a Mason for 70 years, a member of the Hammerton Masonic Lodge #332 and a member of Portside Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol Williams of Lake Jackson, TX; Connie Rister (Pete) of Summerville, SC; son, Tom Huckabee (Myra) of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Susan Williams, Fred Williams, Jr., Travis Williams, Raquel Williams, Lauren Gainey and Adam Huckabee; five great-grandchildren, Fred Williams, III, Paul Williams, Brandon Williams; Hannah Williams, Olivia Gainey; sister, Pansy Lynes; sister-in-law, Audrey Huckabee; brother-in-law, Norman Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Jemelle Ligon, Virginia Patterson and Genevier Mae Huckabee; brothers, James Edison Huckabee and John Edgar Huckabee; and son-in-law, Fred W. Williams.
