Henry Tolar Cartrette

Entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 1, 2012, Henry Tolar Cartrette, Jr., 76, husband of Faye Wells Cartrette. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Henry T. Cartrette, Jr. are invited to attend his funeral service in Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL this Tuesday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm.

Born December 20, 1935 in Bayboro, SC, Henry was the son of the late Henry Tolar Cartrette, Sr. and Tee Dudley Cartrette. He was a retired Route Salesman with Sunbeam Bakery and presently employed by Piggly Wiggly and also an Army veteran. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by his family and many friends,

Survivors include his wife: Faye W. Cartrette; a daughter: Constance Faith Caldwell of Bybee, TN; a sister: Cecil Jones of Pamplico, SC and a granddaughter: Megan Crosby of Bybee TN. Mr. Cartrette was preceded in death by a son: David Glenn Cartrette; brothers: Dargan Cartrette and Samuel Cartrette and sister: Mildred Graham.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29403 or to Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, 2014 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
