Helen Ruth Zeigler

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of September 30, 2010, Helen Ruth Grimes Zeigler, widow of Samuel E. Zeigler.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at Pinecrest Baptist Church, Monday, October 4, 2010 at 2:00 o'clock.  Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday from five until seven o'clock.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Road, Charleston, SC  29407.

Mrs. Zeigler was born on June 24, 1923 in Claxton, Georgia, daughter of the late Walter A. Grimes and the late Lillian M. Tippins Grimes. She was a retired House Mother/ Receptionist with the Medical University of South Carolina and was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons; Samuel E. Zeigler, Jr. his wife Linda of Charleston and their son, Randy, Ronald Wyman Zeigler and his wife Diane of Greer, SC and their children, Josh and Kara, Thomas H. Zeigler and his wife Jeanette of Chapin, SC and their sons, Brian, Mike and Greg; a brother, James Grimes of Ft. Pierce, FL; a sister, Thelma Britt of Panama City, FL; and five great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Pitty Pat.  Mrs. Zeigler was preceded in death by a grandson, Andy Zeigler, the son of Samuel and Linda Zeigler.
