Helen Martin Weathersbee, 80, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Louis Jefferson Weathersbee, went to Heaven Saturday, December 16, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in the Wando Woods Baptist Church, 4123 Dorsey Avenue, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Wando Woods Baptist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Helen was born May 24, 1937 in Lumberton, North Carolina, daughter of the late Leo Martin and the late Ruth Franklin Martin. She was a dedicated member of Wando Woods Baptist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and kindergarten teacher for over 48 years.

She is survived by: son, Teddy Weathersbee of North Charleston, SC; two daughters, Melinda Small and Mary Cumbee (Steven), of Moncks Corner; six grandchildren: Jefferson Weathersbee, Lacey Bowen, Whitley Cumbee, Buddy Cumbee, Morgan Cumbee, Tara Mims; six great-grandchildren; three sisters: Sylvia Herring, Joyce Herring, Nancy Jordan; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Jefferson Weathersbee; two grandchildren, Louis Small and Jared Weathersbee; son-in-law, Kenneth Small; and a brother, Jimmy Martin.
