Helen Beatrice Brown Tabor

October 21, 1915 — February 15, 2011

Mrs. Helen Beatrice Brown Tabor departed this life 12:30p.m. on February 15th 2011 at The Unihealth Post Acute Care in Moncks Corner SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside in Holy Cross Cemetery at Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 12 noon.


She was born October 21st  1915 in Pompton Falls, Passaic County NJ. She was the daughter of Irish Immigrants, the late Anna Mallon Brown and late Hugh Brown of Queenstown Ireland.


Born into a large Irish family, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, all deceased. Helen began working at an early age. Without finishing high school, Helen worked her way to a Licensed Practical Nurse. After years of performing many managerial duties, Helen was assigned an entire Tuberculosis floor where she worked with iron lungs.. She was a passionate and committed health care professional. She was a highly respected and valued nurse at Bergen Pines Hospital in Bergen County , NJ.


In her retirement, Helen moved to Charleston, SC to be close to her son Joseph Venesky and his family.


Helen continued to care for the elderly in private care until she was in her late 70's.


She enjoyed her family, beautiful clothing and keeping up with global news.


Helen also supported the Democratic party. Helen gave generously to many non-for-profits aiding orphans and sickly children. She was also a member of The Nativity Catholic Church on James Island, SC.


Helen is survived by her son Joseph Venesky, daughter-in-law Mable Venesky, grandchildren Helen Venesky and partner Sally Heineman, Joey Venesky, Lisa Venesky, Chris Venesky and wife Krista Venesky. Also her great grandchildren Heather Venesky and partner David KELLY,  Nicholas Collangelo, Alexis Venesky and Hunter Venesky.  Ace Dalton Kelly her great-great grandson.Helen is also survived by her son Jerry Pasano and wife Rose Pasano.
