Helen Lucille Westerman Smart, 83, of Cross, SC, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 22, 2016. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside Friday, July 29, 2016, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Helen was born November 18, 1932 in Rosebud, Texas, daughter of the late Frank Westerman and Helen Mortimer Westerman. She was a retired clerk for the Charleston Naval Exchange.

Helen is survived by her three sons: James R. Simmers (Melissa) of Cross, SC, David Holloway (Barbara) of Salley, SC, and Larry D. Holloway (Deirdra) of New Market, MD; a daughter, Delores Lynn Millington (Ross) of Chesapeake, VA; sister, June W. Freeman of Carthage, NC; and twelve grandchildren.
