Helen Marie Petresky

Helen Marie Yednak Petresky of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died peacefully Friday, December 2, 2016 at the age of 88. Helen was born and raised in South Plainfield, New Jersey, the second youngest of seven children.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest passion. Her kind heart, generous spirit and sense of humour will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to know her.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Nick Petresky. She was also predeceased by her brothers Andrew, John, Michael and Peter Yednak and her sister Ann Yednak Burachynski. She is survived by her younger brother, Joseph Yednak, and by her three children, Peter P. Petresky (Shirley) of Carlisle, PA, Steven N. Petresky (Susan) of Pennsville, NJ and Susan P. Miller (K. Scott) of Mount Pleasant, SC, as well as by five grandchildren, Daniel Petresky, Gretchen Petresky, Katherine Miller, Amy Miller and Phillip Miller.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Savannah Grace and Beacon Hospice Care for being her second family and providing loving care, and for providing her the comfort and peace she needed in her last days.Friends and family are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, December 9, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following interment, a celebration of her life will be held at her daughter's home in Mount Pleasant.
