Helen Kornahrens Lupton

Helen Kornahrens Lupton, 87, of North Charleston, SC, wife of the late George Manning Lupton entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Helen was born June 9, 1926 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late John Jacob Kornahrens and the late Ruth Barrineau Kornahrens. She was a member of the Deer Park Baptist Church. She and her husband George were married 66 years when he passed away March 15, 2011. Helen dearly loved her children and all of her grands.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Faye L. Stephens and her husband Ed of North Charleston, four grandchildren: Tyra L. Morey and her husband William of North Charleston, Troy Stephens and his wife Cindi of North Charleston, Tim L. Taylor of CA, and Theron L. Taylor of Moncks Corner; five great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Wright of Summerville, Conner Stephens of North Charleston, Alexis, Lex and Seth Taylor and their mom Angel Helms of Summerville; great-great- grandchild, Keilana Avenleigh Wright; sister, Lillian Marie Gibson of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter George "Georgie" Elaine DeSilva; five brothers: John Henry, Jack, Louis, Jerry and Sonny Kornahrens and one sister, Mary White.
