Helen S. Lemon, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 3, 2012. She was the widow of both, the late Francis Everett Robinson and the late Paul Edwin Lemon. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1853 Maybank Hwy., Charleston, SC. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lemon was born April 10, 1922 on Johns Island, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Frederick Long Schaffer and Minnie Morrow Heaton Schaffer. She was a charter member of Bethany United Methodist Church. As a husband and wife team, she and Paul Lemon proudly operated the original Folly Beach fishing pier and also owner-operator of the Seapoint Gift Shop. She was an avid gardener, member of Riverland Terrace Garden Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post #147
.She is survived by her three sons, John S. Robinson of Kingsport, TN, James (Jimmy) F. Robinson (Linda Weatherford) of Charleston, SC, Dennis E. Lemon of James Island, SC, sister, Olga S. Lilienthal (Louis) of CA, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by eight siblings and two sons, Robert Earl Robinson and Paul Alan Lemon.
The repast will be held following the burial at the residence of James (Jimmy) and Linda Robinson, 2166 Wappoo Drive, Charleston, SC.
