Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 1, 2012, Helen Knight Embry; a resident of North Charleston, SC and widow of the late Jarvis Miriam Embry. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Tuesday July 3, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Born on September 16, 1916 in Port Arthur, TX, Helen was the daughter of the late John Knight and the late Eva McBride Knight. She was a homemaker and a member of Essex Village Church of Christ.

Surviving are three sons, John Miriam Embry and his wife, Linda of Macon, GA, Jarvis Ray Embry and wife Joanne of North Charleston, and Mark Steven Embry of North Charleston, SC, and two grandchildren, Nathan Embry of Macon, GA, and Jenifer Nesmith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
