Helen Smythe Stiles Chisholm

Helen Smythe Stiles Chisholm, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ernest Robert Chisholm, III entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 20, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017, in the chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Home, 535 Jefferson Street, Tupelo, MS, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Tupelo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday in W.E. Pegues Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jake Chisholm, Drew Chisholm, Vic Chisholm, Logan Beaudrot, Ray Beaudrot, Nick Welch, Walt Dunn, and Phillip Graham. Local arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, Charleston, SC.

Helen was born October 14, 1923 in Rondo, Arkansas, daughter of the late Glover Triplett Stiles and Helen Smythe Stiles. She attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Helen was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church where she served on the Benevolent Committee and was a member of the Senior Choir. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS, a member of the Women's Missionary Union and the Tupelo Garden Club.

Helen is survived by her three daughters: Nancy C. Snow (Jim) of Charleston, SC, Rosemary C. Bryant (David) of Spring Hope, NC, Jane C. Beaudrot (Raymond) of Charleston, SC; two sons: Ernest "Bob" Robert Chisholm IV (Gail) of Tupelo, MS and Lyman S. Chisholm (Jeanne) of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with two additional great-grandchildren "on the way".
