Helen Nick Angelos Butler

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 29, 2011, Helen Nick Angelos Butler, wife of Ronald Dewayne Butler.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Dewayne Butler are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Friday between 6:00 and 8:00 pm with the Trisagion Service at 7:00 pm.

Mrs. Butler was born April 18, 1936 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Nick Angelos "Big Nick" and Louise Bennett Courtney. Helen was raised with G. Nick and Kiki on Dupont Road in Charleston, SC. She attended St. Andrews High School and graduated in 1954.  She worked for First Federal Bank on Savannah Highway and retired after working for 38 years for Arthur Ravenel, Jr. as his personal secretary.

Helen is survived by her husband: Ronald D. Butler of Charleston, SC; daughter: Louisa Flood Angelos of Charleston, SC; grandson: Edward Marion Howard III of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother: G. Nick Angelos (Beverly) of Hollywood, SC; sister: Kiki A. Diasourakis (Jimmy) of Charleston, SC.
