Helen Virginia Adkins, 93, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Thomas Adkins, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 6, 2026. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 11:00am and J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Helen was born June 5, 1933, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Rittenburg Carter and the late Helen Barrineau Carter.

She is survived by her children, Thomasina "Snookie" Havens (David) of North Charleston, SC, Karen Pruett of North Charleston, SC, Thomas Adkins (Edna) of Cottageville, SC and Pamela Morris (Dale) of Summerville, SC; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren and brother, Eddie Carter (DeeDee) of Summerville, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
