Heber Laurence Metts, Jr., 82, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 1, 2015. His funeral service will be held at the graveside Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Capers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Chapin, SC, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Charleston, SC.
Laurence was born July 19, 1932 in Chapin, SC, son of the late Heber Laurence Metts, Sr. and the late Geneva Lindler Metts. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and held a Masters Degree in Library Science. Laurence was retired from the Charleston County School District.
He is survived by close family friends, Frank Salazar and Anthony Woods, both of Charleston, SC.
