Hazel B. Poindexter

Hazel B. Poindexter, 92, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Orville Poindexter entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 23, 2025. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Hazel was born September 5, 1932 in Alabama, daughter of the late Vernon Wesley Carroll and the late Mary Ellen Dobbins Carroll. She loved painting, reading books and a casual shopping spree.

She is survived by children: Steve Wesley Boyd of North Charleston, SC, Timothy Wayne Boyd (Janice) of TN, William Gregory Boyd of Ontario, CA; grandchildren: Matthew Boyd, Thomas Boyd, Amanda Hampton (Daniel), Jamie Petty and Richard Petty; great grandchildren: Michael Pallottini, Natalie Pallottini, Aubrey Hampton, Dylan Petty, and Cayden Petty. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Georgia Ann Smith; first husband, Carl Boyd and siblings: Howard Carroll and Helen Carroll.
