Hazel M Collier, 80, of Charleston, SC, widow of the late Wayne Collier, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Her Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 in City Church of Charleston, 913 Wappoo Road, at 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Sante Fe, TN. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414.

Born on August 20, 1940 in Sante Fe, TN, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Collie Paul Hay and Eunice Hill Hay. While serving in the Air Force, Wayne and Hazel settled in the Lowcountry in the early 1960's. They later became owners of Manufactured Housing Services, which included Dixie-George Jones Homes and Bubba's Truck and Trailer Store. Hazel's duties as Vice President included the interior decor of all model homes for sale. She was always an active member of her church, teaching Sunday School, a faithful hostess and generous donor to various charities and missions works. Hazel will be remembered as a loving, kind and giving Christian southern lady who loved her family, pets and friends.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Collier and Angela Collier (John) Pharis, both of Charleston; her brothers, Paul Hay and Clyde Hay; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Hay; her granddaughters, Olivia Grace (Jordan) Maslanik and Lillian Pearl Pharis; her great-grandsons, JJ and Elijah Maslanik.

Beside her husband of 60 years and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Harold Hay and her sister-in-laws, Delilah Hay and Geneva Hay.

The family wishes to thank Home Instead Senior Care, Amedysis Hospice, and all the wonderful caregivers that loved and cared for mom over the past several years. We are forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lowcountry Animal Rescue or Charleston Animal Society.
