Hayden Levon Johnson

Hayden Levon Johnson, 75, of Hanahan, South Carolina, husband of Myrtle Lee Johnson passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. A Memorial Service to celebrate Hayden's life will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the Charleston Masonic Center, 1285 Orange Grove Road, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.

Mr. Johnson was born July 8, 1937 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late Norton Albert and Claudia Cindy Tyler Johnson and was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. Hayden was a Past Master of the Orange-Charles Towne Lodge No. 14, where he was a Tiler, and also a member of York Rite, Scottish Rite, the Knights Templar and H.L.Hunley Camp No. 143.

Hayden was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother and is survived by his wife, Myrtle Lee Johnson of Hanahan, SC; his son, Randall Hayden Johnson and his wife, Cecelia of Los Angeles, CA; his daughter, Cindy Simmons and her husband, Kurt of Johns Island, SC; his grandchildren, Nicholas Randall Johnson of Charleston, SC, Amanda Lee Simmons of Johns Island, SC, Alexa Marie Simmons of Johns Island, SC, Anna Lynn Simmons of Johns Island, SC; and his brother, James A. Johnson of North Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Ronda Lee Johnson Mitchum.

Instead of flowers, Hayden's family requests that contributions be made in Hayden's name to Hollings Cancer Center, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
