Harvey Daniel "Dan" Cross

Harvey Daniel "Dan" Cross, 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina,  husband of Peggy Kanipe Cross entered into eternal rest Friday, October 20, 2023.  The Funeral Service will be held November 12, 2023, in Ashley River Baptist Church, at 2PM where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Dan was born June 9, 1944 in Darlington, South Carolina, son of the late Harvey Daniel Cross and the late Ethel Victoria Odom.  He was retired from the Department of the Navy as a Certified Internal Auditor and was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.  Dan loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was so proud of his two sons. He loved auditing. He really loved basking in the sun, especially in Nassau. 
 
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Kanipe Cross;  two sons, Mark Daniel Cross (Aaron Marcin)  of Raleigh, NC, David Daniel Cross (Pamela Nolan) of Alexandria, VA; five grandchildren, Colin Cross, Healey Cross, Lexi Cross, Daniel Marcin-Cross and Logan Marcin-Cross; and a sister, Judith Hammond of Logan, WV.
